From The serial number on the motor you can date it to a 1955-1957 Nash metropolitan. The parts list is dated 2008, I'm not sure if that's when this motor was remanufactured or they aren't connected. Whatever plans somebody had for this motor they obviously never got around to it. I have no clue if the internals were changed or they just a rebuilt stock.

I have not tried to start it. I assume this is what it was shipped in originally so will reuse as such. I am not sure when but this motor was completely rebuilt and converted to run off of propane. Included is some of the parts that were taken off to convert it propane as well a complete list I got with.

It is mounted to a custom steel frame that surrounded by smoker. It had to have been rebuilt quite a few years ago because the paint is starting chip off In some places, it will likely need new. I got this at a local estate offer.
